DA40 NG Leads the Way in Personal Flight
LifeStyle Aviation has launched the Diamond DA40 NG, Jet A burning piston, to the North American Market. LifeStyle is highlighting the ultra economy of the aircraft and the advantages of buying aircraft that burn Jet A versus leaded aviation gasoline which is on its way out. To illustrate the point a sample of performance tables were prepared with knots converted into statute miles and an average price of Jet A used to present examples of economy and performance.
“The performance is simply remarkable” states John Armstrong, Founder and President of LifeStyle Aviation. “The idea of being able to cruise around at over 170 MPH on less than 20 cents a mile is amazing. This equates to 20-25 Miles Per Gallon. There are hundreds of cars that get less fuel efficiency than that and of course, they can’t drive in a straight line like a plane can.”
The secret behind the DA40 NG performance is the sleek aerodynamic design combined with the ultra-efficient Austro Jet Fuel burning powerplant. Jet A is a more dense fuel that provides more power per gallon and cost less than traditional leaded aviation gasoline. The Austro engine is also turbo-charged and does not have spark plugs. The engine is fully electronically controlled so efficient operation is automatic without the pilot having to manage the engine at all. This represents a true 21st-century modern aviation break-through.
LifeStyle has been marketing the DA42 and DA62 twin Austro engine aircraft for years with great success. Diamond Aircraft have been producing Jet A burning DA40’s since 2002 but only now is LifeStyle Aviation bringing them to the US market.
“The reason is quite simple…in the past, they were built in Austria which caused the price point to be disadvantaged relative to our great gas powered DA40’s. More importantly, the aircraft did not provide as much useful load as the gas plane. Recently the weight loading was increased and the DA40 NG has a 242 lb higher gross weight and the useful load is now equal or better than the gas DA40. This means the DA40 NG is now ready for Prime Time in the US market.” continued Armstrong
LifeStyle Aviation is also offering the DA40 NG in their DiamondShare program which provides economical access as either an owner or member. The combination of the ultra-economy of the aircraft, attractive purchase pricing, and the leverage of the DiamondShare program should put the DA40 NG on the top of every pilot’s shopping list.
